Mission: | Improve the living situation for people who are housing-insecure, such as those coming from the street, refugee resettlement, treatment for drug or alcohol issues, or other situations, on their way to something more permanent. |
How to help: | Volunteer to work on one of the “build” days, either doing construction or helping on the food team. Or donate items needed to furnish the cottages. Or donate money to fund construction materials. |
Time it takes: | A cottage takes two days to build, usually two Saturdays from 9 to 5. You can volunteer for one or both days. |

Description | With our Cottage Project, Mission Circle has committed to provide funding and volunteer labor to build transitional sleeping cottages, used as a first step for people who are unhoused or face similar challenges. We are building these cottages because we believe that every individual should have a healthy, safe place to live. These cottages provide an interim step toward permanent housing, with wrap-around social services to support the journey. |
